Had two communion services with new ministers. Nine inmate received Christ tonight. Praise God!
Having communion services at the jail for the next ten days. I was approved to bring in two new ministers that are coming into the jail for the first time. They are excited about jail and prison ministry. Praise God.
Sent a concordance today to one of the jail inmates that went to prison and wrote asking for one.
I walked the lock down units at Southern New Mexico Correctional facility praying and getting into the word with some isolation inmates. I also gave away about 100 Christmas Cards to inmates that really wanted to send them to their families.
I was walking through one of the pods at the jail and an inmate that is not on my list asked to talk to me. I said sure and we went in the program room. I asked when he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He said he wasn’t sure if he did because he can’t feel it. We talked about the Roman road and that his relationship with God is based on truth and not a feeling. How Jesus said He was the way, truth and life, not a feeling. He understood and said that was just what he needed to hear. I love the way God works in such an unplanned way…. At least by me.
A released inmate that I have been ministering to for about 8 months in jail is doing really well and came to church with me today. Praise God!
Gave a bunch of Bibles out it the lock down area of Rogelio Sanchez unit. Power going out there. They only let me be there 1 hour a week so I don’t really know many inmates there but the power of God’s word will change lives.
I was really humbled today. I talked to an inmate that recited practically word for word what I preached about John 1:1 about 8 months ago. He told me how it completely changed the way he reads his Bible. Wow, God is so Faithful.
Visited a brother in a department of corrections half way house. He is getting out in 30 days. A lot of spiteful residents will hatefully try to sabotage men that are about to get out. He was fit to be tied. One of the many times I know it’s the Lord’s work and not mine because after an hour and a half he was calm and ready again to be faithful for another 30 days before he is free. Praise God! Prayers please.
