Hello Church Family,
God has been showing His glory at the correctional department in Texas and New Mexico this last month. Eleven men have received Christ, three have signed up for Bible college courses and two have committed to be baptized. God is good! I had a month off recovering from my last surgery and returning we lost almost half of our weekly discipleship men either from going to prison or being released. Our regular discipleship list went from 14 down to 8 and now we are back up to 16. There is just a huge amount of men reaching out for the Lord, Praise God!

One day I received a written request to visit a new inmate and when I went out to see him he told me that one of the other inmates had told him to talk to me. That was humbling. He was telling me how he has been in jail many times and tried to read the Bible but he just didn’t understand it, but this time he could understand it and he would weep. He said he would pray or read the Bible and just weep and that caused him to get on his knees in his cell and accepted Jesus as his savior. Praise God! He continued how now he needs help learning. Wow! God blessed me with a young man with a fervent desire to learn and grow in the Lord on this one, I love it! He signed up for the Bible college correspondence course and just can’t seem to get enough. We have been prayerfully in the Word for many hours since then and he is still eating it up. One day we were in the Word talking about the awesome miracles God performed in people’s lives and it dawned on me. I said, and the miracle God performed in your life was just as big. You literally put down a gun and picked up a Bible. He let out a big smile and responded, I did and THAT IS A MIRACLE. This brother is excited about getting back to his wife and two young children to teach them the Bible, being the spiritual leader of his family and finding a Church home. The Lord is the only one who knows how He is going to use this young man with his wife when he gets back to the streets. I’m thinking revival, WOW! Could you imagine?

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Thank you Church family for the prayers and financial support that allows me to be here for these men.

In His service with you,

Heavenly Father, your word teaches us in Proverbs 2:1-5 that ‘if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God’, may this young man find the knowledge of you our precious Lord, to you be the glory forever and ever AMEN.
