Blessed and Happy New Year Church family, January 15, 2014
It’s been said that time flies when you are having fun and time sure flew by in 2013, I can’t believe it. It was also our first straight full year at the El Paso Jail and the Prison in Southern New Mexico.
The Lord has blessed His ministry abundantly in 2013.
- Beginning of the year, I spent about 8-10 hours a week in the secured areas.
- Mid-Year, we stepped out in faith and I was able to spend close to full time in the secured areas.
- One of our goals was to pray with at least 100 men to receive Christ as their Savior and the Lord brought 102. PRAISE GOD!! I’m so thankful, and blown away about that personally, because that is by far the most I have led to the Lord in one year in my life. God is so good.
- The Lord put a question on our hearts, “What happens next to these men after they receive Christ?” Which lead us to bump up the discipleship “One on One Time”. With men coming and going we have kept up with a list of about 15 men that I meet with about once a week.
- We asked the Lord to bring at least 3 men to commit to a ministry when they get out of prison or jail. The Lord brought 5 men; these men are on fire for the Lord, they are in His Word and didn’t wait to get out before they started Bible studies and prayer circles inside.
- 14 men signed up for Bible College correspondence courses.
- Over 200 Bibles were given to inmates.
We see 2013 as just a glimpse of what the Lord is beginning to do through us in this ministry. In 2014 we see the Lord doubling what He did in 2013, plus adding more areas of influence to our current base.
I know you have been blessed for your investment in the kingdom through our ministry together; we have been working hard to make it a wise one. We ask you to prayerfully consider continuing to partner with us in prayer and finances as we move forward into the New Year and reach more and more inmates for Christ.
In His service with you,
Lenny and Saranda Beck

Heavenly Father, we stand on the promise in Ephesians 3:20 that ‘ you are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us’. WOW thank you Lord for working exceeding abundantly above what we could even imagine in the lives of the inmates this past year. May we never forget Lord that it is not us that can give salvation to those we come in contact with, we can only share your love through your Son Jesus Christ as His Light shines through us and step back and watch how your Holy Spirit move in their lives. Thank you Lord for letting us be a part of your mighty work. In Jesus Name Amen.
